Frequently Asked Questions.

Everything you need to know about Horaxis Enterprise — from ERP integration to deployment and pricing.

What ERP systems does Horaxis Enterprise support? +
Horaxis Enterprise integrates natively with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC (6.0 EHP7+), Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle E-Business Suite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Connection is via standard OData APIs — no middleware required. CSV import is also supported for any ERP system.
How does Horaxis Enterprise predict late deliveries? +
Horaxis Enterprise uses an XGBoost machine learning model trained on your historical purchase order data, supplier delivery patterns, and external risk factors (commodity prices, port weather, geopolitical events, vessel tracking). Each open PO is scored with a late probability, predicted delay in days, and confidence level — up to 14 days before the expected delivery date.
Is Horaxis Enterprise cloud-based or on-premise? +
On-premise. Horaxis Enterprise deploys as Docker containers on your own server or virtual machine. No procurement data leaves your network. This ensures full GDPR compliance and data sovereignty — critical for manufacturers with strict data policies.
Can Horaxis Enterprise work with SAP ECC (not just S/4HANA)? +
Yes. Horaxis Enterprise connects to SAP ECC via OData (requires SAP Gateway, available from ECC 6.0 EHP7). The connector automatically handles differences between ECC and S/4HANA — including fallback when ECC doesn't support $expand on OData queries. No code changes needed.
Does Horaxis Enterprise require middleware to connect to SAP? +
No. Horaxis Enterprise connects directly via OData APIs (and optionally RFC for SAP). No SAP BTP, SAP PI/PO, MuleSoft, or any third-party integration tool is needed. You point Horaxis Enterprise at your SAP OData gateway URL, enter credentials, and sync.
How long does deployment take? +
Docker installation takes about 30 minutes. Connecting to your ERP, running the initial data sync, and configuring users adds 2-4 hours. First AI predictions are available the same day. Compare this to 3-12 months for traditional procurement platforms.
How does Horaxis Enterprise trace risk to customer orders? +
When a PO is flagged as at-risk, Horaxis Enterprise traces the material through your bill of materials (BOM) to identify which finished goods depend on it, then cross-references with open sales orders to show exactly which customer deliveries are threatened. This gives planners the full picture: not just "PO is late" but "these 5 customer orders totaling €2.3M will miss their ship date."
How does supplier collaboration work? +
Planners send secure, time-limited links to suppliers directly from the app with one click. Links can be generated for a single PO, specific line items within a PO, or all open POs for a supplier at once. The supplier clicks the link — no login, no account needed — and sees the relevant PO line items with current quantities and dates. They can propose changes (new dates, adjusted quantities) with comments. The planner reviews each proposal, approves or rejects, and approved changes are written back to SAP automatically.
How does Horaxis Enterprise compare to SAP Ariba? +
SAP Ariba is a cloud-based procurement suite focused on sourcing, contracts, and supplier network management. Horaxis Enterprise focuses on delivery risk prediction and production impact analysis. Key differences: Horaxis Enterprise is on-premise (Ariba is cloud-only), connects directly via OData without SAP BTP, starts at $599/month (Ariba is $50,000+/year), deploys in hours (Ariba takes 3-12 months), and provides ML delivery predictions with BOM traceability — capabilities focused on production risk prevention. Horaxis Enterprise can run alongside Ariba.
How does Horaxis Enterprise compare to Coupa? +
Coupa is a cloud-based business spend management platform. Horaxis Enterprise is an on-premise procurement risk prediction tool. Horaxis Enterprise starts at $599/month (Coupa is $100,000+/year), provides AI delivery predictions with BOM traceability — capabilities focused on production risk prevention, integrates natively with SAP ECC without middleware, and deploys in hours (Coupa takes 3-6 months). Horaxis Enterprise complements Coupa by adding predictive risk management.
Can Horaxis Enterprise handle 500,000+ purchase orders? +
Yes. Horaxis Enterprise has been tested with over 500,000 purchase orders. It uses delta sync (only pulls records changed since last sync), database partitioning, Redis caching, read replicas, and connection pooling via PgBouncer to maintain fast performance at scale.
Is Horaxis Enterprise GDPR compliant? +
Yes. All data is stored and processed on the customer's own infrastructure. No procurement data is transmitted to external servers or cloud services. The on-premise deployment model ensures full compliance with GDPR, data sovereignty regulations, and industry-specific data protection requirements.
What industries is Horaxis Enterprise best for? +
Discrete and process manufacturing: automotive, aerospace, machinery, electronics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food production, consumer goods, and packaging. Any manufacturer with complex multi-tier supply chains who runs SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics 365 and needs early warning when supplier deliveries threaten production schedules.
What external risk data does Horaxis Enterprise monitor? +
Live commodity prices (gold, oil, copper, aluminum, nickel, palladium), port weather conditions, ocean vessel tracking (AIS), geopolitical risk indices (GDELT), and currency exchange rates. These external signals feed into the risk prediction model and are displayed on the Risk Intelligence dashboard for manual review.
